Russo’s article describes Disney in a very aggressive and
upset tone. She indicates her anger towards the details of the subject of the
article. The writing tone indicates how she wanted to address the imperfections
and issues with Disney. Racial Discrimination is written throughout this
article.
The author is trying to persuade the readers to learn more
about Disney’s racial discrimination Russo addresses key points, but doesn’t
seem to have enough detail to back up her facts. The information is liable
because multiple authors have written similar subjects about the same issues. I
believe the author is biased because the hatred for Disney is over the top. She
does emphasize the issues and makes very bizarre accusations. She goes a little
too far.
This article fits my research because it clearly indicates racial
discrimination. This source was helpful because it had everything I wanted to
discuss in my blog. She broke down the information and gave some basic points.
She encourages others to look beyond the perfect picture Disney.

Rhetorical Précis
Juniper Russo – Yahoo Contributor –
in her article, “Disney’s Most Racist Films and Characters” (2008), argues
crucial points about racism and discrimination from Disney. She develops this
idea by giving multiple examples with an explanation for each. Her purpose is
to inform readers how the Disney films have faults and children need have
guidance with media, especially Disney. Russo establishes a casual relationship
with her readers, who knows most people have watched Disney films, judging by
her straight forward and a little aggressive tone.
